Encounter Weekend

ok, I got no photos to show for it, but the Adults Encounter Weekend was awesome!

It wasn't so much that it was awesome because there were miracles and signs and ppl rolling on the floor and being slain. And it wasn't because I got to pray for ppl and they get slain and start crying father mother and all the demons fly out. In fact, I had to miss ONE WHOLE DAY of encounter because I had to rush down to TKSS to film my project.

--- (I was really reluctant about going ahead with the shoot, but one of my actors had to fly off the following week and this other actress could only shoot over the weekends so I can't shoot on weekdays and all the schedule clashes and so on and so forth that just made it impossible not to shoot on that day itself. Haha... my apologies to my guys for being an absent father on encounter weekend... sigh...) ---

But all in all, I think God has a better plan.

On the day that I was not around, the Lord came and touched my members mightily and more than that, my son, Sim Chun was pushed to the frontline of ministry to minister to the rest of my members since I wasn't around. I think it was God's way of nudging him forward to minister instead of having the security of his father around to back him up. The your God is your true father Sim! :)

haha... and in the process I think he really learned a lot. I could see the excitement and joy in his eyes as he shared about how the Lord used Him to minister.

Hallelujah! Praise God! This is the rising up of the mighty men! This is empowerment of the Holy Spirit! This is the Power of God! This ministry is not about me! It's about God moving in every single individual to accomplish His will in a ministry! Amen!

Haha... and I just wanna thank God for the opportunity also for my members to also get to know my good brother Chao Yang during the encounter. Haha... now they've met their spiritual uncle! And I ehard they had so much fun, it made me a little envious that I wasn't around to share it.. sniff.... :) but this is family guys! It's the community of God coming together to support and love one another. I just wanna thank my brother for being there when I wasn't able to :) thank God for you, Chao Yang! :)

and of course, to be able to sleep in the same room with my adorable grand sons... who made me laugh so hard it made me forget myself :) it's good guys, you guys are a bunch of jokers... really more high level than me one...

but the deepest thing that happened to me during the encounter was the sat night when they had just finished their night session and I was there with Lilian and Yang, preparing for my worship the next day.

the moment i started playing my guit and as I stilled my heart to hear from the Lord, i heard Him speak to me, "I love to hear you worship me" It was a deep personal word cos I 've heard Him speak this to me several times when I worship Him in the quietness of my room. There and then I was remninded of a song that I used to sing to Him some years ago. it was this song called "I Feel like I'm falling"

I played the song and the moment I sang those lyrics, my heart just ached for Him and tears flowed uncontrollably down my cheeks. right now, even as I'm writing this, I feel that same feeling wash over me... it goes like:

I remember I love to sing this song to the Lord because it describes exactly how I feel towards Him. Because I love Him so much, I just feel like I'm falling into His arms every time I sing this song. And I just imagine myself hugging Him and just loving Him over and over again...

and that night, as I sang this song, those tears just came flowing down my cheeks... in fact right now, i just feel like those tears are coming again...

it was deeply ministering to me that night... and I know that He is continuing His healing in my heart even now...

praise the Lord, my Father...

ok... like i always said, if I had remembered my lyrics when I went for my Singapore Idol audition in 2004, I'd have been the 1st Singapore Idol.

See? See? I look so much better than Sylvester and Taufik! With my hair straightened, I beat them hands down! I mean, Hairs Down! .... whatever...

but bleah, I hated it... they had to straighten my hair to create this look... I thought I looked like a goof... these were pix taken right after my haircut...

my friend had a shock when he saw me... my other fren couldn't recognise me when we went for pool later...

hate it... hate it... hate it...

I still prefer my curly hair. God made it curly, don't straighten it. it's against nature. it's like cloning is against nature.

The Lester Re-union!!

Sorry for the long absence... Have been pretty tied up recently, what with all the parties and socialising that I needed to do. Finally, I'm home and I've got enough time on my hands to put up some long-awaited pixes! :)

First up, we had pictures of our visit to Lester's place!

As a gesture of appreciation of his faithful attendance to cell and church, Basia made a card, filled with cute animal cartoons and rainbows and stuff like that and presented it to LESTER!!

Oh, ok... I forgot she also got him a can of Milo, just in case he needed to drown his sorrows in the midst of his exams. How thoughtful! :)

haha... anyway, I really enjoyed the visit. think we really made Lester's day by sitting on his bed and messing up his room.

not too long from his birthday... that is... well, you can only imagine how smooth his skin was THEN. :) wahahaha...

and Basia was so delighted when she saw them lor... :P

yup... always preying on young little boys, dear Basia :P wahahaha...
