Tribal Choir
espirit de corp!
that's the only word i can describe out tribe choir experience :)
it's been a long time since I've seen such high spirits in people.
I think many of us, esp the old timers would have felt the same. I mean, don't you find such feelings of euphoria only at soccer games and school sports meet or some pop concert? that's the reason why many ppl like to catch live soccer games or go to a live rock concert to experience the "atmosphere" of being there.
But it's more than just being there. It's being with a group of ppl who shares the same spirit and purpose and united as one to root for something that is valuable.
On sunday, I think we experienced a bit of that.
I mean I was just blown away, seeing my YA guys so focused and serious about getting the moves and the lyrics right! We even had a rehearsal the night before the actual event to just make sure that we get it right, and give our best to the Lord! This spirit of excellence in just giving our best to Him is what really inspired and encouraged me :) whoa, guys! you guys rock!
and last night Sim just shared with me that as he began to put his heart into doing this, he became more and more excited until on the actual day itself, the excitement just overwhelmed him.
I believe he said something that will echo in many of our hearts. He said that many of us will remember this day for years to come :) and I can't agree more. :)
hahaa... and seeing my girls with their make up, looking so cute and spritely and the guys dressed so smartly for the occasion, just makes a father feel so proud. And I know that God the Father Himself is just so proud to see us like that. :)
I mean I was giving my 120% out there on the stage! I sang so loud, there were a few times when I literally ran out of breathe... *pant pant... but it was all worth it... when at the end of the day, Crystal affirmed us that we were so wild, we were out of control... haha... and that we had set a new standard for the rest of the choirs that is to come... hahaha... i even suggested that we bring sparklers next time we're on stage! and hey, I'm serious... even if it means having to smuggle them on stage... hahaha...
