Going Wi-Fi - l33t level UP!
Woo Hoo!
I just bought a wireless broadband router yesterday. In another 24hrs, I should be able to surf the Net everywhere around my house! :)
I feel empowered... I feel like my l337 skills have reached another level! It gained another level the last time when I decided to diss my DIY supliers who were charging me exhorbitant rates just to reboot my pc with Win XP every time I got hit by a killer virus. I could have easily done it myself if they'd not witheld the XP disc from me! Bloodsuckers!
Well, you must be wondering why the need for a broad band router? The main reason being that whenever I'm on MSN or typing my blog late at night (cos that's when the writer's muse crawls out of the cave and starts feeding) the noise on my key pad wakes my mum up. (I've transferred my pc to my PLAY room which my mum is sleeping in now cos the aircon in the master bed room kinda konked out)
I can tell cos whenever I start typing, I could hear her tossing... sad...
I can hear her tossing now... oops...
but then again, you could ask, "why not change the keyboard instead?"
My answer to that question is, "Are you out of your mind?? It's every guy's dream to make his whole house wireless!! Who would want to miss out on such a golden opportunity??"
Anyway, now with the wireless broad band router, I should be able to surf everywhere around my house!! I can surf on my laptop while watching tv, in my room, in the kitchen when I learn how to cook, in the balcony sipping my drink, at the dining table... and of course, in the sacred of sacreds when I'm doing my "business"... hmm... wonder what that'll be like... shall do a test run on it... hehe...
But, I'll have to wait till tom night to find out when I get home from my Magic lessons with SP and plug in my laptop which is currently now in the office; else I'd have done a trial today...
So, goodbye to cable! Hello to wi-fi! :)
Oh yeah, and that's one of the reasons why I don't churn out blogs as much as I'd like to... :P
did I just excuse myself? or did I just shoot myself in the foot... think I just did both...

Congratulations! Wi-fi is definitely the way to go! Having tasted that, you will never want to go back to cables and wires. I miss working off my laptop, now that i am desk bound... Thank God for technology...PL

yeah, I've even networked my laptop to my pc. I thot I could watch my eps of Gundam and Battlestar Galactica over the network but apparently the bandwidth is too small and it keeps jerking... I may revert to using cables again. :)

Soon, you will be able to enjoy video over IP (minus jerking), it is at its infancy, but it's surely moving toward 3-way play. :) Over on this side of the planet, as if being desk bound is not bad enough, my co. has barred all MSN and Yahoo messenger ... disconnected...arg... PL

WHAT??!! What atrocities! No wonder I don't see you on MSN any more! That's deprivation of human rights! They're treating you like slaves!

Aha... the insecurities of big organizations that behaves like they own us and turn us all into senseless robots.
But then, no matter how powerful they are, they cannot get past the infinite connectivity of the internet.
Do you know that you can actually log into the web based MSN & Yahoo @ www.e-messenger.net. As long as your company allows you internet access, you are connected to the world...

To Shups: you poor imprisoned soul. How could they do such things to you!!!
They didn't block your yahoo mesenger sms did they? You still can break loose with that technology, but kinda obvious when your boss sees you smsing every moment. Hmmmm.. time for us to change the world and how the world thinks.
