An update on the wireless status... "Houston, we have connection! I repeat, we have connection!"

Yes, as of last night, my house is wireless. I've only surfed the second level and not the ground level so I'm not sure yet, if the wireless domain covers the entire house. But nevertheless I'm already quite satisfied. I've also managed to link my pc and my laptop and share files over the network. Woo hoo! I was watching my downloaded episodes of anime over the wireless network on my laptop via my desktop! The sad thing is, due to the low band width that wireless networks could muster, the videos were jerky and it wasn't much joy watching it.

But what the heck! It's still 1337 to have wireless!

Well, well... now that I've conquered home space, it's time to move on to the next 1337 project.

To do that, there is a list of 1337 equipments that I've been eyeing on. I intend to mod my pc to the ultimate 1337 machine! But this will have to take some time... Julian... watch out! Cos I'm hounding you from the back! >:E....

*(for those who don't speak 1337 it says "list of things that may not be necessary but I just want to have and it's none of your business whether they are necessary or not!")

1) DVD-Rewritable ROM... slurp... it's a must have since I'm downloading epsiodes of Battlestar Galactica and GSD that cannot be found anywhere else...

2) a personal colour laser jet printer. (ok, so this is not so 1337 but it's still cool to have since I'm sick and tired of inkjets that smudges when water touches it...)

3) wireless mouse (hey, there needs to be synergy here, ok?)

4) portable hard disk drive... (no, there can never be enough space for my ever increasing appetite of videos...)

ok, ok... so it's not really 1337, 1337 since we're not talking about sound cards, graphic cards and mother boards with a 100 USB ports...

But hey, that's as much as my pc can handle at the moment, ok? The old geezer needs some space to breath before being towed in for major overhaul! Right now, it's probably trembling in fear of me wishing it shortens its lifespan, but I'll be kind... I'll wait... I'll wait for the day your little LED lights tweet to a little spark and fades off... *he he he he...* then the real fun begins...

Right now, I'm deliberating between going all the way of having my pc handle the sound entertainment system and recording from TV direct to just being a really cool 1337 machine all on its own.

But I guess it'll all work itself out in its own time... :) it actually makes the whole process of planning and getting there more exciting, really.
