Restoring the Vision Part 1
This is the Year of Victory!
and with that I will be posting a series of sermons that I'm currently preaching to my cell group so as to spur us on to seeing the visions that God has given to us come to pass.
"The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it to the full."
John 10:10
In the beginning when God made man and the world, He had a vision. He made Adam and Eve and gave the Garden of Eden to them to stay and multiply.
God's original vision was to see us live with Him in harmony and become fruitful and multiply.
But there was an enemy which came from the very 1st order of creation which God made. It was the serpent and his army of angels. The serpent knew the vision that God gave to men and he was furious and seeked to rob that from men. So he came to tempt Eve and from then on, mankind lost his inheritance to satan. The serpent blinded men with shame and guilt and forever robbed the vision from him. What was left was only an impression of what could have been but never will be...
But God had always wanted us to fulfill His vision of eternal life with Him. That was why He sent His Son Jesus to come and restore that in our lives.
More than just salvation, ppl! Jesus came so that He can impart to us the same abundant life that God had originally intended for us in the Garden of Eden.
Now is the time for us to shine as Warriors of Light and restore that very Vision of Eden back into the hearts of many...
1st in our our PERSONAL LIFE because though some of us are saved, we are still find ourselves unable to experience the abundant life that Christ has given us.
2nd in our FAMILY and...
3rd in our MARKETPLACE
How do we shine if we are not ourselves first the LIGHT? Hence we need to come to the Holy Spirit and receive from God the Father His vision for our own lives; how we should conduct ourselves in the light of His salvation! Then as we percieve this in the spiritual realm, we begin to effect our natural realm, by acting out what we see. i.e. when the Lord shows us certain areas in our lives we need to change and how we should live, as a person pleasing in His sight, we begin to act on that vision and live it out. Then will we find victory in our PERSONAL LIFE.
Our FAMILY members are the closest people around us and they see how we live, day in day out. When we start to shine in our PERSONAL LIFE, they begin to see the change in our lives, and thus start to ponder about this change. We too need to receive a vision for our FAMILY. We must pray and ask God what He sees in them and then pray for that vision to come to pass. A brother of mine sees his parents going to Hokkien service. In his spirit, he chooses to believe and claims that vision and commits himself to pray that to pass!
In the MARKETPLACE, we have schoolmates, colleagues and friends whom we hang out with probably 80% of the time. We need to shine in our PERSONAL LIFE so that they too can see the change in us. A cell member of mine received a vision of his basketball team mates coming to know the Lord. I tell him to go write it down, paste it on his walls and pray it to pass! Another cell member of mine saw a vision of her volleyball girls come to know the Lord and lo and behold, she has won 4 of them to the Lord!
HALLELUJAH!! The VISION is EASY!
Why is that so?
Here is a biblical explanation of how by envisioning something, and praying for it to come to pass, it will be done.
God, when He first made the world, had a vision of how evey single thing would be, ranging from the trees, the flowers, to the birds, the animals and the seas and the earth. When He sees it in His mind's eye, He spoke it to pass and when it was spoken, which is the Word of God (Jesus), His power, (the Holy Spirit) brought it to completion.
and guess what? God made US in HIS image! Which means that if He made US in HIS image, it means that we are also capable of doing so!
I was traveling up an escalator at Takashimaya when I saw a banner that read, "Imagination is your greatest gift" and I thought to myself, How True! Because if we can dream it, we can fulfill it! Of course, such visions must be Godly and must be a direct revelation from Him, if not, we will birth forth evil and fleshly visions...
I tell my guys, I have a vision!
I have a vision that I will be a Pastor of 144 men and 144 women! I will form my 12 this year, and next year disciple them to be strong men for the Lord!
I have a vision that we will hold our combi meeting at TOUCH CENTRE auditorium! I want to be like Ps David Yonggi Cho, and go measure the auditorium and claim it for Jesus!
I have a vision that my band will be used mightily by the Lord!
I'm still birthing a dream for my family and my prayer is powerless because I still cannot see clearly in the spiritual realm the vision for them. I will pray and seek the Lord till I see it more clearly and able to pray that to pass.
I told my guys that there are 3 things we need to do:
1) Pray and ask the Lord for a vision for the 3 areas of our lives
2) Write them down and don't just keep it in your journal to collect dust; but paste them boldly on your walls so that every morning you wake up and are reminded of the visions that God has given to you!
3) Pray the visions to come to pass and allow the Lord to move you to act out those visions!
I told my ppl that I will take a photoshoot of every one of them and paste their pixes on my wall to remind myself of the vision of the 12 and the 144! Then I will pray that to come to pass in Jesus' Name! Amen!
If there's anything, I want to test God in this.
Fulfill the visions Lord! :)
what I just said is nicely summarised by Paul in the below passage. The fall of creation, the redemption of man to restore creation to its orignal intent and receiving the vision through prayer in the Holy Spirit to birth forth the Kingdom of Heaven in this present age.

what I just said is nicely summarised by Paul in the below passage. The fall of creation, the redemption of man to restore creation to its orignal intent and receiving the vision through prayer in the Holy Spirit to birth forth the Kingdom of Heaven in this present age.
"I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the One who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the chidren of God.
We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up ot he present time. Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who does hopes for what he already has? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will."
